4/28/2008 - Tourettes Guy and Head and Shoulders

You know, I got really sad when I heard about the passing of one of my favorite YouTube personalities, the Tourettes Guy. I mean, he's not a friend or family member or anything close, but he brought great laughter to my day last year during some difficult times. And it seemed like all he ever wanted was some peace in his life. Well, I hope he's found it in his afterlife. In honor of his memory, I want to play a clip of his which I can totally relate to... just in the past 15 minutes, actually, when I took a shower and got Head and Shoulders in my eye. He summarizes my reaction better than I can (beware the vulgar profanity):

7/7/2007 - Tourettes guy-- bird in the house

Rated R for extreme profanity

It's the Tourettes guy again... this is one of his episodes that didn't make it into the "best of" clip show that I previously featured. If you think the Tourettes Guy is a jerk, then this video is for you. You'll see his very inappropriate behavior in response to a sad story from his ex-wife, and then you'll see him get his just desserts when a bird shows up in the house. Needless to say, hilarity ensues.

Some people have commented that Tourettes Guy is a fake... that nobody curses that readily and is willing to have it caught on tape. I guess it's possible that he's just acting or something... trying to make it big on the internet. I, for one, would like to believe it's the real thing... that we're really getting a glimpse into the life of a seriously disturbed (but funny as hell) individual. There are these reality shows on TV featuring "celebrities" like Gene Simmons, Hulk Hogan, and Ozzy Osbourne. They wouldn't hold a candle to a reality show based on the Tourettes Guy, that's for sure.

6/24/2007 - Tourette's Guy

Rated R for extreme profanity

I don't know if Tourette Syndrome is a real physical or psychological condition, but it's in Wikipedia, so that's good enough for me! And if it didn't exist, the guy in this series of videos has some kind of illness that should be named after him. Unnecessary profanity usually gives me a chuckle, so when I saw this "best of" video of the "Tourette's Guy", I just couldn't stop laughing.

Even though he's probably an unpleasant character to be around, there's something endearing about him. He's not a totally bad guy... he does say "I love you" to his ex-wife... right after calling her a "bitch" of course. I think the highlight of the video is when he's complaining to the Colgate customer service department. One piece of advice to anybody riding in a car with him... don't play any music by Sting. I didn't think that a neck brace would be any kind of flattering accessory, but for Tourette's Guy, it fits pretty well. Judging from his "exuberance", it's not hard to tell how he got that kind of neck injury.
