4/5/2008 - Super Polystation II in Kazakhstan

Ashens may be the king of pirated software and hardware demonstrations, but this guy comes close. "Dziekuje" claims to be from Kazakhstan and he's showing off the Super Polystation II in this video:



It almost seems natural that a Borat-like character would be the one to review this turkey. Just look at the games... they're obvious rip-offs of games like Mega Man and Double Dragon with the faces of the main characters replaced with Mario! It's actually pretty hilarious when you see it in action. The thing is, we here in the U.S. are so used to seeing the official sprites that we can't imagine how people in third-world countries would view these games when watching them for the very first time. In fact, perhaps having the main character be someone without a beard or mustache would be sacrilege for them!
